    JUst look for the monthly Newbie runs. Not exactly the same as the 101, but all the newbie runs are meant for people new to offroading

    Yeah, those are much more info-filled and are led by some guys with crazy experience. The newbie runs are more of a get your tires dirty kind of thing. Just get out there and drive, learning on the fly.

    Exactly what I expected. I understand the theory behind most recovery techniques and how to put them to use, but much like shooting a gun, I'd rather practice in a controlled environment until those actions start to feel natural so that when I do eventually get stuck, or I end up helping somebody else who is stuck, I can quickly assess and recover.
