I wouldn't worry about prep; you really don't need much for two nights and a day of wheelin...the essentials can be packed quickly... we can call ourselves: Easy Company

 

Fyi there's a pizza joint right down the road, and a market + gas in Peterborough if needed.

Bring a rod if you fish. Nice Lil beach with smallies.

The last minute night bite has always been great to me there. Size seems to have gone down on average a bit the last 2 years. But still plenty of fish. And the camping there is convenient

 

Nothing beats a smallie for pound for pound fight. Maybe a large male bluegill. And yes, early morning and dusk!

I wanted to do that run since it’s local to me, just over the border in Mass, but I’ve got plans already.

I'll likely have a lot of (for what an FJ can fit) cause im taking my 4yo daughter. Going to be her first camping trip. She wheels with me pretty much every time I go.

 

Plus don't you usually carry all your shit on your truck full time?

 

I have been getting lazy to take stuff off it. I'm still on my trail tires right now because I've been too lazy haha.

 

My trail tires are y commuting tires. Like I've said before: big ass lugs means less rubber toychtouthe ground, which = less rolling resistance. # science.

Also I have too much other shit to do besides swapping tires even though it would be the prudent thing for the amount of miles I put on in a year.

That just makes it easier for you to camp. Throw some food into the back and go.

 

I'll probably book a site this weekend.

Id like to be there Fri night, but am not sure if I will make that yet.

 

I'm sure you could probably alter it if you needed to.

 

Anyone have a working chainsaw for next weekend? Mine is grumpy and only starts when the stars align properly. Usually I do a pre-run to clear everything beforehand, but this year I ran out of time (meaning I am going wheeling this weekend somewhere else and doing the Yota pre-run lol).

 

I'll bring my husky... I'll do some work on it this weekend to make sure it runs good.
