Yeah no kidding. @Chasespeed must be afraid of the cool weather or something :boink:

@m603holden did you ever decide on a date for your ice fishing weekend? Not that that will really involve any wheeling, but a good excuse to get out into the snow.

If anyone is ever interested in doing some snow wheeling / winter dirt roads in central or northern Maine let me know! A few good options we could explore.
Max you ever go out around the Stud Mill Rd area? Kinda like a small Golden Rd but way less remote

Bone stock right now, 2016 TRD OR, and a beginner. You recommend more than the OEM skid plate on the off road? Will be investing mods soon.

Yeah. It’s gonna be very remote. Not sure if the New England rigs can handle it. Lol

Most of my runs are voluntary - so if you chose to come I am not responsible for anything. It's hard to spot stuff under snow and the weather takes a toll on trails so what could be a easy walk in the park can be a bit harder in the snow. It all depends on the conditions. I'm not one to say you'll be fine - like everything else there's always a risk. I know people who have done it stock and had no issues.

I'll make an event when the time comes.

It's a little early to post about it but in September Vermont Overlanding does a weekend long overlanding/wheeling event in Reading, VT. From the looks of it theres a pretty diverse range of terrain. Makes a bunch of stops at local shops/businesses along the way.

Maybe we could pull off a day trip at some point. But remember I’m still stock, including the shitty sport tires.

I’ve replaced lower ball joints and the steering rack in my first gen, it’s finally ready for some New England trails

The winter runs in the past have been a hoot!

I even got to host @mach1man001 one year

I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for a date.

You have any experience East of the Milford area? Thats Stud Mill Rd area. Would be a on the longer side, but a doable day trip for us from So ME. Pretty much and endless spider web of roads and trails. Nothing that stock couldn't do, so long as your tries arent too too shitty

Don’t think I’ve been out that way. I have had worse tires, these suck, but not that bad.
