Same same brotha, work gave me an iPad for payroll and plans and I'm the guy still using a roll of plans and gave the iPad to my kids. Lol. It's easy because you get invited and follow the directions like @crashngiggles said.
Only a little weird, a year ago it would have been crazy. Now I've had zoom birthdays, zoom Thanksgiving and zoom Xmas. As far as when, I'm good whenever.
Anyone with ties to that police or fire dept so we could bounce ideas off them? (Dibs on using jaws of life if this goes down) 2 of my neighbors are fire fighters and while being badasses and environmentalists have both said the same. Private property will be tricky, public land and we're saints. Liability. Pre-covid, I used to do volunteer projects with the carpenters union( cause that's what I am) and always had to be state or federal land. When we did build houses it was always a waiver to make sure the people we were helping weren't on the hook should an accident happen

@crashngiggles is right. It is totally easy. If my mother can do it, anybody can. And they do!

This afternoon I attended a small wedding on zoom! The bride and groom have been living together for 30 years. Bride is 77 and groom is 82.

BTW, I realized why (subconsciously) i made my profile photo with the truck inside the garage. It’s bc I’m not driving this southern-born truck on the salted roads until I FluidFilm it. Which is going to happen one of these Saturdays. Man, there is sooooo much salt on the roads.

    Hello fellow first gen :hattip:

My 95 has been surviving the New England death salt with fluid film for 4-5 years now and I still don’t like driving it around in the winter. All the vehicles in NH are painted with whatever they’re throwing onto the road. Keep that thing in the garage for now!!

Absolutely. The Chevy Volt stays outside. Overland Experts in East Haddam, CT is gonna help me take care of that and a few other odds & ends.

Reminds me of a NY Giants game I went to about 8 years ago. It was 15 degrees at 4pm when the game started. We left after the 1st half.

lol yeah. I was just talking to my friend about this. Maine had snow plows and brushes and road salt and winter tires. Texas has none of that, without that even Maine would be in a similar situation as Texas.

of course next Saturday the weather for Austin is already calling for mid 70s and sun again anyway so whatever.

And Texas has like 90 straight days of 100 degree temps in the summer. Which is probably not as bad as 85 degrees and 85% humidity in the northeast! Haha

Nothing like snow tires. You might only need them 5 or 6 days in a typical Connecticut winter, when when you do need them they are 100% better than all-season tires.

Just throwing this out there since there's about a 5% chance I'll actually be able to make it out there, but possibility of heading to Rausch next weekend to run greens in the 4R to get a baseline before the mods start. The trip is somewhat unlikely given the current state of my rear driveshaft, but I'll post here if it looks likely and if anyone wants to join give me a shout.

Thanks for the heads up! I don't think I'll make it but I wanted to thank you and let you know I love seeing other Toyota 4x4/Miata owners! '93 LE #381

A few of us just had an exchange in another thread about the same thing. It’s the perfect combo.

Wait was that in the Hey CT thread? Haha I think that was also me.

I also have a '13 GSXR for when I have the Need for Speed, because my 1.6l motor can barely get out of its own way...
