Is this event still going on? Can't seem to find anything about it on any forums or facebook groups. I plan on going the 29th but would hate to make the drive for it to not be going on. I've only been on the trails to the warming hut/wind mills once in side by sides years ago so I'm looking forward to driving my truck up to those spots.

Anyone for a morning run at the Old Florida Rd Adams MA? I am 10 min away at this point, passed the gate and turned around. Decided to try to run it in the daylight.

Just to update and maybe get some people to join but this event is still going on. They haven't publicly announced it but I messaged their FB page and was told it is still going on. I'll be going up Saturday the 29th for the day; on top of doing the warming hut/windmill loop I plan on hitting at the least the green trails and possibly blue if I think my truck will make it without doing too much body damage lol. I'm coming up from southcoast MA and plan on getting there for 10 AMish.

Hey guys, long time/me not up in NE. Im planning on coming up from VA, taking backroads only from Binghamton NY to NH/Canada border in mid June. Will be camping and on 2 wheels.

i wanted to check in on average weather. I know in VA its already warm around that time, but not so sure about MA/VT/NH/ME. Any thoughts?

Trip will include several class 4 roads in MA/VT/ME. Hopefully doable in my experience on 2 wheels haha.

If marker number 3 is amenia/dover, that's a gorgeous drive. Could be 60s, could be full on summer heat, you never really know :anonymous: But 60s 70s I'd say

Let me get back to you on the VT section + a few landmarks. I'll try to get into it later this week. Can you send me your GPX/GPS/Gaia/whatever file so I can overlap and see if there's any issues? I know one that's a class 4/6 (can't remember which one VT uses, whichever one it is, NH uses the other for the same type of road) that is basically wheeling, air down 4lo style.

Keep it to mid June. A lot of roads stay closed through May in VT/NH for mud season.

Yup! Everything I can think of might be a bit dusty but is doable.

The road I'm thinking of is not fun on 2 or 4 wheels, and it's only about 1-2 miles, so it's really not worth it.

Forgive my crappy drawing, but this red section - Ice Bed Rd - no bueno. It's in ROUGH shape, and only a mile or two, in my opinion - not worth it.

Go in and check out woodstock, go further down (I think it's 4?) to the east toward Quechee, check out the Quechee gorge. That will be all pavement, but worth it if you're in the area and haven't been.

    upload_2023-1-16_11-29-26.jpg

It has you going over the floating bridge in Brookfield. Nothing huge, but it's cool, so :nosture:

And a PM incoming on another spot.

Expect weather with 60's for highs and lows dropping into the 40s at higher elevations.

What are you planning to hit between 2 and 3? That's my backyard.

If you're in the Mt Washington area it's worth the time, & if you don't want to run the mountain the area surrounding it is extremely pretty. Jericho is worth the time too if you haven't run it before...

Speaking of, I'm thinking about a dirt bike... been riding quads since 2004 but might be time to try two wheels. Any insight @fatfurious2 ?

I actually dont have any dirt bike experience or knowledge. I've been riding on the street for the past 12 years, and only got my adventure bike last year.

Dont think you can go wrong with Honda or Yamaha though
