    A big part of that that I saw recently is the average car payment is like $750 monthly..... Do you know how many shitboxes I could buy for $9k a year?

    This isn't helping either. Everything being loaded down with computers, batteries, and technology, combine that with everyone going to larger footprints instead of sedans.

    A new base civic is around 25k. A new base F150 is a shade under 40k, ranger 33.5ish.
    If I was just going from A to B on city streets I would be in a civic, not a Tacoma.
    They just don't do as well bouncing off of pine trees and getting stuck on stumps.
    But people are buying bigger vehicles left right and center, crossovers, trucks, etc instead of sedans nowadays in the states. Bigger vehicle, more tech, more money.

    This is why I went from "I'll trade this in at 100k for something else for fun" to "I guess I'm keeping this alive until I retire".
