The 1st one the trophy that's what I have had it for two years now absolutely love it you can actually fish out of it. It's really good in shallow water and the balance of it nice, I can stand up in it while on the water. Oh and it's alot heavier than my friends yaks so it may help out with the max weight part

Yea unlike the other ones it's got some dual haul thing that distributes itself better than the other single haul ones... Don't have any experience with others but I would say its a solid choice

    meh... i wouldn't touch it

believe me and get the correct weight rating..its worth it when shit gets rough. the more weight the lower the yak sit in the water so the closer you are to sinking.

what is your max budget? do you already have a life vest?

yea...and how many people on here give good reviews then you find out they never use the shit like it's intended. dude probably floats in a lake all day. i'm sure you'll wanna take it into the ocean and bay like I do when I'm near it. ive had mine out through 5' breakers at ocean city.... not good when your already overweight.

ill keep an eye out. $300 is low though. $400 and you could get something really nice. mine was $400 10 years ago with paddles.

these are the reviews over n over for this yak
picked up 2 a few weeks ago and I am pretty happy with them. Plenty of room for me (6' 250lb)and the other is used by my wife or one the kids with ease. So far we have just used them locally in the Buffalo River and we have taken them out into Lake Erie with no troubles, we will be taking them on different ventures soon. Easy to transport and paddle. For the price you can not beat this kayak. 1 person, usually me, can easily move these and load onto our minivan. Only drawback is the seat is not that comfortable for long trips but adding your own cushion is an easy fix

everyone agrees great yak for the money and a uncomfortable seat

and this is at like 3 diff sites and over 130 reviews and lots of them from big people like myself.....

I just made an offer on this one http://southjersey.craigslist.org/spo/2872253727.html

and just because they post $400 doesn't mean they won't take $300 once you ask them if they have a receipt or title for it and they say "it's lost" wich usually means it's stolen. I never pay asking price silly n00b.
