Been looking at Ruger Mk4s for the wife....

As it is, I'm still trying to sort out more storage... I'd like to build something, but....
I'm not trying to drag a massive safe up 2 flights of stairs... not even sure how I'd feel about that weight being above one of the bedrooms.

Need more storage? Keep your house pistol near you in this mini vault. https://vlineind.com/shop/tactical-top-draw-handgun-safe/

V-Line vault is an excellent mini-safe. Mechanically locks up solid. It doesn't use batteries. I'm very happy with mine.

I’m finding out that there are lots of “mods” available for target pistols. I’ve already found Tandemkross, and have mounted their Halo charging ring on my Victory. To charge the pistol you grab the sides of the “bolt”, which is much different than racking the slide on standard semi-auto pistols. Adding the Halo charging ring has helped tremendously. Had range time with the S&W SW22 Victory. Very nice pistol. Shot 150 rounds with zero malfunctions, which is good results with rimfire ammo.

It’s a tack-driver. Below target was set at 50’, indoor range.

The “flyers” are me, not the pistol.

I have a stash coming in, no .22 though.

And I've been needing to stock up on .40 FMJ... next order.

I have police officer friends that are very proficient with .40 ACP.

Yeah, good middle of the road round. Cheaper than .357sig, and 10mm(both of which I'm a fan).
But, let's face it, in the pistol cals, 9mm "wins", if for no other reasons than availability, and price.

I don't own a .45, or any wheel guns, never have.
    Love a good DA/SA pistol(P229/P226)
Striker fired have their place, especially for EDC concealed, due to weight, etc.

I need a range day soon. Was going to go Saturday, and see how the elbow/arm repair feels, but, the youngest brought the creeping crud home from school, and it put me down... didn't even get out wheeling. I do know my 938 is staying on the shelf for a bit longer..

Yes, 9mm has a very prominent role. Soft shooting; the ammo is relatively inexpensive and usually readily available. And, it is potent.

I also like .45 ACP. I have a S&W Shield and a S&W full size in .45. The bullet is heavy and slow moving, resulting in recoil that is felt as a push backwards. I find .45 recoil much more manageable than .40.

I love how .45 ACP blows big holes into the target. And, when shooting steel targets they really ring !IMG_2612.jpg

    I don’t own a .40, but I do enjoy shooting my friend’s .40 Glock.

I have a Glock 22 gen 3and it's alright, the trigger is horrible but it's all I have now that shoots .40 and I have a boat load of it. I rarely shoot my kimber 1911 45acp and only have a few hundo rounds of 45 on hand. I've been primarily stocking up on 9mm and 223/556 to prep for this spring/summer.

Going to give snowshoe shooting a try this winter at my range because it's all snowed in... that'll be interesting.

I'm pretty well stocked on what I shoot. Most of my rifles are .308, so, I try to snag in bulk deals when I can find it. I have 1 5.56, it's dialed for 62gr, so, yeah, stocked up.
Don't keep my .22lr on hand. Only picked that up in the last year.

After phys therapy yesterday, I'm going to try and sneak to the range(I hate the cold), and see how that goes... could be one trigger pull, or a nice long session... no way to know until I try.

I did buy a 22lr conversion for my AR but it's finicky with ammo so I just picked up 900rds of CCI AR Tactical 22Lr from bass pro specifically for that. My P322 pistol hates just about everything it seems.. I need to modify it so that the firing pin hits harder.

Normally I'll do some quick sprints up and down the range before I start shooting, then keep moving to stay warm. Those hand warmers (the disposable ones) work amazing.

Funny, all I have is CCI(recommended by damn near everyone), and my only .22lr is a nice simple bolt. Beautiful, rainbow wood Monte Carlo stock on it.. but, bought it to start working with my youngest at the range(and THAT may be illegal soon:censored:).. she's been pretty good with the pellet, so, time to move her up.

On another note... now isn't the time, but, thinking about adding another M1A to the safe. Stumbled on a Socom for a decent price, and certainly lower than a find anywhere else...

I’m at the range now. As they say in Norway, there is no bad weather, only bad clothing. And, it’s 48 degrees !

More trigger time with the SW 22 is helping.
