    Agreed.
Lean on 9mm but, have .380, .40 and .357sig and one of those is a PCC.
And for rifle, 1, 5.56, and 2, 12ga, and the rest are .308

Current plan is to finish modernizing my old rem700 w/26" heavy barrel

But, so far only mag compatibility I have is between 2 of the .308s. I'd be stoked to get the rem to accept m14 mags, and feed reliably. Beyond stoked.

I already had a 308 bolt rifle for hunting so put the AR10 together as a 308 again for common ammo. I could probably find more accurate 308 ammo for the 10 than the Federal I’m using but it’s very accurate in the bolt gun and moa in the 10. It just makes it easier to stock and store.

I take it a bit further with the AR’s, perhaps I’m weird or something. I use 20 round mags in the Larue because I shoot off bipods but typically 30’s for others. I try to keep the controls common also. Same triggers, grips, charging handles, and all optics have green illumination with similar reticles. Sounds boring right? I want each to feel pretty much the same so no matter which I grab it’s intuitive to me. They’re not all the same there are some variations but as a whole very similar. Each also has a similar weapon light setup. It gets expensive but I don’t like switching back and forth and all are sitting ready when needed

Thank you sir. Each one has its purpose, whether for training, usability, caliber, etc. The only "want" that didn't fulfill a "need" was my X95, but as you can see....I'm a huge Bullpup fan and this thing is just freaking cool as all hell to shoot.

Absolutely agree. We trained to muscle memory.
Shouldn't have to think about safety orientation, mag release location, variations in hold-overs, etc.
But, I will try new stuff.
This is also why there is 1 Glock in the house. I can train out MY issues with it, but, for 1 pistol, why? She can drive nails with it, so, she carries it.
I learned pistol on the m9. Great pistol, but, I won't carry a "duty" sized pistol. Hell, I don't even have a holsters for the P229s.
    I currently EDC a 365xl(w/ green dot).

Nice! I have a 20" Cross STX in 6.5cr as well. Loving it but feeding it sucks - I might have to get into reloading because of it. I chose the 6.5 for the same reasons too, even though I have an Aero M5 in 308 the 6.5cr was just too tempting

I'm the exact same way, I have 3 ar's built with SSA-E triggers, Radian Talon selectors, Magpul K2+ grips and Aero M4E1 lowers. Although the scope application differs depending on the setups. I did try the Holo 512C in gold and while it's awesome in the woods it sucks balls against white targets in sunlight. The reticle completely disappears against the white paper.

Just got two eform4's approved last week for Rugged Radiant 7.62 suppressors. Made the range day this weekend so much more fun. Clapped 450 with my 18" AR (IMI razor core) and 350 with my 14.3 AR (PMC XTac) consistently.

I actually am possibly looking into starting to reload. When I am shooting the 9mm, .45 or 5.56, it's not really cost effective but with the 6.5 I started to think that it might be worth it in the long run. NOT to mention that I have heard that the Cross can be very factory ammo specific and reloading can be more consistent. I have been given a good recipe for a 6.5 but once again, it might have been best for their barrel. I purchased it used (5 months old) and I really don't know if the barrel was correctly broken in but when I take it out to the range for the first time, I will be trying 3 different types with 3 separate groups. After I fully clean it first :D

Never knew there is a correct way to break in a barrel. I'm sure i didn't do it correctly on my 6.5 creedmoor (only rifle i bought new). Can you give some info?

Yep, break in is a thing. Not sure how many follow it, and there are different ways. Close friend has been slowly breaking in his .50 and that is a different procedure.

I'd say it's more critical, with precision rifles.

I didn't do anything special with any of my rifles under 20"

But, this one from Christensen is pretty detailed, and sums it all up.

For large calibers, This is the best way.
    1. Obviously, you want to have is fully cleaned and oiled,
    2. then after five rounds, have it air cooled, then cleaned and oiled,
    3. Repeat this cycle 2x times (5 rounds, air cooled, cleaned and oiled, for a total of 3x
    4. Then do 2x of a cycle of 8 rounds, air cooled, cleaned and oiled.
    5. Then 24 hours of non use.
In total, I can do it with around 30 rounds, and about 2 1/2 hours in one stretch at the range. I will literally take it apart and clean and oil it in between each cycle on the bench at the range. It also really depends on whether your barrel is carbon steel, cold rolled, hammer forged, or stainless steel. You always want to follow the the manual of each individual firearm when you purchase it.

How is the kick? Does it rise or walk much? 10mm must be fun but then again it is a big gun.

Not bad at all surprisingly. Tiff sent a mag of 180 and a mag of 200 down range without complaint.
You're absolutely welcome to give it a rip of course.
    And yeah, its fun.
Only regret is waiting so long to get one...

Thank you sir. Worth every penny. Then again, I love my Sigs.
