Simple question...Should I take it to a local shop for 60,000 mile maintenance or to the local Toyota dealership...The dealership is obviously more, but the local shop doesn't necessarily specialize in Toyota. Thanks in advance.

Whats the difference in the labor rate, as long as the independent uses Toyota fluids and you trust them WTF. I just had my ATF flushed @ dealer it was $149 out the door, most of that was fluid, I changed the coolant and axle, transfer case fluid myself, saved a few bucks, I think I spent about $42 on gear oil and $90 on Toyota coolant.

If you are planning on getting the trans. fluid flush, I would take it to Toyota. If not probably just a shop your trust.
