For those coming, parking closer to the back of the lot and tables will be to the right when you walk in.

Well now that I know this thread exists I wouldn't be against coming to a meet/greet. I have some exams this upcoming week that I am completely unprepared for but I would be down sometime around mid april to late march after the new tires and gears/locker is installed . The wyo guys will have a few weekend mini meets around then too hopefully. One in northern colorado/southern Wyoming and then one around central wyoming if anyone is interested.

Might have to make the trip for one of those. I wanna get the FJ dirty and not much around here for that. Here's a few pictures from the get together.

So many FJs . I have a soft spot for them...could never sell my truck but man the thought crosses my mind often.:burnrubber:

If you really want to get the FJ out I would poke your head in the Wyo Bs thread. We will be running trails in Lander that are tons of fun. I would suggest sliders and at least 32'' tires. I ran most of them last year with 32's and now sliders but had to be really careful. Ended up coming down on my pinch weld pretty hard. Our short wheel bases really shine though

No clues on trails around half way. I would have to look but I know most of everything east of me is pretty much rolling hills.

Off the Top of my head a place for a bigger meet...3 days ish would be Black hills or Badlands up in South Dakota. That's a drive for me and probably most of you but its a place I have been itching to get to since I moved back to Wyo. I am ok with driving farther since I love driving :D. Most fridays I am done around 12:15 so I can hit the road asap to get to camp and get a full 2 days of exploring before heading back.

There are some mountains near Casper, WY that I have yet to explore. Superb fishing if any of you are really into fishing. Most of my trips here are done with fly fishing in mind. Last time I was there I caught tons of 18-25in rainbows.

Poison Spider Offroad park is there as well if any of you want to actually test out the rig. I haven't been there but the local off road community does competitions. Looks fun from the pictures but is one of those man made obstacles areas...pretty boring landscap IMO. This is a huge drive though. Its just about 3 hours for me but I would imagine its upwards 7 hours one way for the guys on the eastern side of Nebraska.

Near me is Snowy Range but most those trails won't open until may due to snow pack. Vedauwoo, Happy Jack, and some other small parks are open and about 10 miles from me. Beautiful area but not really wheeling. Awesome just for a short drive on some dirt. Then below me is Colorado and there is actually a really sweet trail I plan to do but forget the name of it :(.

I had a a good time yesterday hanging out and meeting everybody yesterday, but I wish I would have parked my truck in a more "photographic friendly" position haha. I know we talked about a trip to Kansas Rocks to wheel and camp and Im definitely down for that just need to know a month in advance so I can put in for leave. Also the black hills sound pretty badass and Im down for that as well!

I could do black hills this Summer. Place is amazing. Badlands are close by two and worth a day trip.

^ Your in the same boat Im in with trying to find somewhere to go. I wouldn't mind getting together and going to explore some of the B roads down by Plattsmouth close to the river. Ive heard there are some areas down there next to the river that gets resurfaced when the river floods every year that the locals play on.

I've heard of these too. I searched for quite a bit a few months back but didn't see anything. There's a place in Iowa but it's private membership or something.

So I picked up some new front tires for the Taco, but is there a good shop around Omaha/Bellevue that can mount 37s? I was thinking about just going to discount tire in Omaha, but would rather support someone local who is cool and does good work.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Kieth's BP at 90 and Fort. They are cool and do good work for a very good price.

It's a drive for you but Orlando at Jensen tire on 144th just south of Q is a really good dude and he and his guys will do the hard work (they stretched some tires for my z4 without a complaint) - if you let him know you Jim and Matt sent ya he'll probably hook ya up on the price.
