I’m not familiar with Toyotechs but I’d check out any of the Discount Tires since they all use road force balancing machines.

gave my truck its first set of new tires a couple months ago at the Discount Tire by the old crossroads mall area, the place was rather clean and stopped by a month later for the complimentary tire pressure check during the last snowstorm before tearing up the neighborhood, the attendant was quite helpful in explaining the changing temps and pressure.
I am going to check out that ToyoTechs for a needed muffler/exhaust replacement, thanks for the mention!

anybody able to tear up any side streets today before the plows hit 'em?... the snow was deeper than Mondays but seemed very very light powder. I was only able to make first tracks in a local neighborhood alley up the hill … maybe the next storm be better!?

I also got into the ToyoTechs earlier in the week for a 'Senior checkUp' … I was very impressed with everything

I drove home in the snow Saturday night and it was fun as hell

Good to hear about toyotechs. I’ll try them out after my Toyota care is out.

Stay safe! It’s pretty bad visibility here in Lincoln.

thanks, had to get back after an hour once the sun was diminishing, too hard seeing parked cars on sidestreets and alley entranceways. What's bad is all that rain this morning is one sloshy mess under the new stuff. Saw a couple newer model Tacoma's out and one Toyota 4x4 truck that was quite a bit older than mine making their way

the most challenging encounters were the unplowed steep grades at about 1/4 mile long, making a sharp right up, trying to get into 2nd gear with all the drag and not stalling, I usually don't get the rpm's near 3 in the lower gears but I think I had to this time to keep some momentum. definitely have not done this in some time, feel like a novice lol

I need to try some steep grades like that in mud sometime if I find a good place, probably get good and stuck

that is some pure nasty krap they are putting on the streets to destroy that almost inch of ice ... basic liquid salt :annoyed: have to run the beat-down corolla awhile and slide all over i guess, hit the touchless gorilla wash with underbody spray

hoping the weather warms up soon so I can open and inspect the recycled/salvaged spare set of oem alloys tentatively arriving from Idaho this week, not sure how much cleaning they are going to need but have no clean driveway space to spread them out

It is causing some crazy build up ain’t it! I wish there was a closer car wash down here in Bellevue that did this kind of work. I need it!

yes it would have been nice to leave the roads and let mother nature thaw them next month I can get around just fine :) It's the other drivers that maybe have never ever driven in this climate (California plate in front of me the other day was completely lost!)

I used to work out of Bellevue and went to the Cornhusker auto wash on 25th and Cornhusker I think. I think they use a soft cloth tunnel wash though probably not the best i learned for the paint, but maybe the NEWer trucks have better paint technology?

I will check it out. I’m not worried about my paint, I just don’t want a machine slapping my solar panel.

    https://www.gorillawash.com/locations/

they ought to build one in Bellevue or Papillion

i did some research on the Calcium Chloride krap, if you injest it will cause throat burns and stomach ulcers  be careful you don't let your pets get near it

    solar powered taco?

Slightly solar. Got a 100w panel that runs to the accessory battery. Not doing much right now as I pulled most of my externals off the truck in preparation for the camper shell that is getting here tomorrow.

TSki, have you a pic of that solar set up? was it an aftermarket or dealer addon? my truck is 20yrs older than yours and I don't believe they had anything that hi-tech back then lol
