It’s a quick drive to the mountains lol only about 7 hours from Lincoln, its about 12 for me.

Decent pheasant and deer hunting between NE / SD / IA. Finding spots can be hard though unless you know people with ground or hunt public ground, which an be sparse.

    Plenty of fishing around.

Camping and hiking....ehhhh. Unless you are into camper camping at campgrounds. Better off out west.

@GQ7227 Nice, I like the cold weather.

@Shellshock Yeah I figured I’d have to to go somewhere for the camping hiking. No campgrounds for me.
    7 hours isn’t too bad I suppose.

Just dont want to end up being a fish out of water if you know what I mean.

VP Toyota is frustrating. Tried looking at a Tundra they have twice. Both times the truck has been out on an “extended test drive”. I emailed the dude and told him I would be there at 10am Monday (today) to look at it. He emails me back Monday at noon saying he was busy and asked if I would come back in the afternoon.

I guess there’s a reason Corwin is so good. I won’t shop anywhere else for a Toyota other than Corwin.

the Baxter salesguy was bunk, he led me around the whole lot because he had no clue of the whereabouts of his inventory in late December

I bought mine at Corwin back in 2015. They certainly weren't the worst dealership, but they did still hit all of the typical cliches you have to deal with when buying a new truck. Super high pressure, no choice in what color truck I wanted, six different people to talk to during the sale, and they try to sell you every possible add-on, undercoating, and extended warranty they have. I guess you can't really avoid that but I was still a little annoyed at the whole process.

i don't think they know exactly what undercoating they are selling to people
was that at the old place on Fort Crook Rd?

now that you mention it, there were TONS of fish out of the water outside of Omaha on the Iowa side of the river
massive amount of bald eagles were feasting on all the dead fish when the water evaporated from the floods and nowhere to swim

Marginal at best for outsiders. Unless you know people with land it's pretty miserable. Public ponds and lakes are overcrowded for fishing as well. If you're already relocating, keep looking :anonymous:

I avoid it all in Cedar Rapids. It’s awesome. They have found me 2 relatively difficult to acquire trucks no problem.

Yeah, back before they moved. I will say their new place is pretty nice and if I'm just there for an oil change then I have no problems.

Has anyone had their transmission fluid changed at either Baxter or Corwin? The service adviser at Baxter in Lincoln told me not to touch it at both 75k and 100k.
