If your front breather is located under the hood then you wouldn't need to change the fluid. I also believe your tranny and trans. are fine.

Do you mean if I have already done the extension in the front under the hood? Or do you mean that the front diff breather is already in a safe place? Cause the riverI went through was plowing up to my headlights in the front and about 3 inches from the bottom of the doors on the side.

FWIW, I went on an off roading weekend, much of wich was in water. Moday I decided to check the gear fluids. When I drained the rear, the oil looked like milk. Its an easy change, and always better to be safe, than sorry. :)

Whats the deal with the LSD rear end anyways? Do you use different diff oil than 80w90? Any advantages or dis advantages? thanks.

the lsd diffs have clutch packs that are very sensitive, and they require an oil with a limited slip addative. on an open diff/or diff with a locker.........regular 80w90 is fine.....on my 04 with the rear locker....i use mobil1 75w90 synthetic, and i like it alot. you dont need addatives/friction modifiers with an open diff like you do with a limited slip diff.

So on the 05+ the rear diff and tranny should be extended? And then you're good to have fun in the water?

Well damn, I was hoping it was only going to be the rear. How much do you estimate this will cost doing all three... and estimated time it will take to do it.

Me thinks the transfer case is already extended. There are 2 breathers in the engine compartment on the driver side. One is for the front diff, and the other is the transfer case breather.
