Can any of you guys recommend a good bug shield?

I'm looking at the AVS Aeroskin. Seems pretty sweet and really low profile. Also, just sticks on.

Another vote for the OEM. I installed mine the first day I brought home my truck from the dealer. Easy to install and solid material

Oem uses metal clips, a few had paint damage. Go with weathertech or aeroskin.

13 cupholders for beer. All the Weathertechs.
Depends what you mean by "good" bug shield... none of them do jack shit to actually deflect bugs or rocks, except maybe the front half of the hood directly behind the deflector. It's all about looks. That being said, @jake72 's recommendation was spot-on, from what I've heard from a few friends. I have the Weathertech one and haven't had any issues in the year and a half it's been on.

Edit: Oh and about a week after putting my deflector on, I got a massive, quarter-sized bubbled rock chip in my windshield, directly above my passenger windshield wiper. Felt like my truck looked badass when it happened though, so deflector worked as intended.

    You mean a rock deflector?
That does nothing to reduce bugs hitting the entire front of your car.

    They all look stupid.

Yea up here In pa we got some nasty bugs ! I need one of these too , but I hear mixed thoughts if they work or not . My windshield has been PLASTERED so I need to do something. I also hear some bug deflectors wear/rub paint off the hood where there are attached .

My truck also gets plastered. Took me about an hour to get them off after being out in the woods all weekend.

My truck came with the OEM one from the factory.

Does it work? Eh, a little. There's too many bugs down here so it only does so much. I also have about a dime sized chip in my windshield...

I think a bug shield compared to none is better than nothing .

I think they work. My freeway exit for work is shared with 3 large gravel quarries and a million trucks hauling gravel. My windshield damage is much less since I installed one. They aren't going to deflect large rocks but some of the smaller ones I think are deflected by a wall of wind.
