    Hello,

Im currently in the process of purchasing a first gen Tacoma. It’s the color, trim, and package I have had my eye on for a while. Problem is it’s in Austin and I’m in GA. I had a 3rd party inspection and everything looks good mechanically. But one of the points the inspector raised is that it looks like it had paint work done. This is a concern for me it’s one of the reasons I’m trying to buy it. It looked very clean. If it was a bad/cheap paint job it may not be what I’m looking for. I’m reaching out to find out if anyone in Austin or more specifically the round rock area? would be willing to ride by and take a look at a few things. I would be willing to compensate.

    PM me if interested.

I discussed this a bit with @atxboug. So the deal is I already have a deposit on having it shipped. It hasn’t been scheduled yet so I can still get the deposit back but it could be up to five days before it gets scheduled. I got a pretty decent deal of ~$625 for shipping.

I deffinetly have a few concerns with someone bringing it back with them. One being that I don’t have insurance on it yet. And the second is a safety issue. The dealer put pretty cheap Chinese mud tires on it. They retail on Amazon for $650 shipped. Because they’re cheap and there’s almost no reviews or information on them I’d be worried that they would delaminate going highway speeds. So unless you have a diesel or something capable of pulling a flatbed I would not let someone pull it or drive it.
