Hello. I’m new to this forum but I’ve had my 2005 Tacoma prerunner for many years.

I bought the parts for the replacement, but the guy who was supposed to help me stopped responding. So unfortunately I’m stuck with the parts and a somewhat scary truck at the moment. He was going to do it for a really good price which I desperately need because I’m extremely low income.

As far as the diagnosis goes…my truck is shaking a bit when I hit the brakes, and also at low speeds. I was told it is the control arm (i’m not sure if it’s upper or lower but I know it’s on the driver’s side) and I might need rotors refinished and new front pads.

i’m not sure if any of you in here could help me out (I’d love to learn how to do it) or if you could point me in a good direction somewhere on my side of town in Los Angeles.

    thanks so much!
