I have gathered ALL the parts (recommended on this forum) but my health has gone downhill and I need a skilled, experienced Toyota mechanic to do the labor. I found two guys in Atlanta and agreed to their ASKING prices. The first guy never showed and never returned calls. Today the second guy never showed after rescheduling twice.

I live in Lilburn a suburb of Atlanta. My truck is a 2002 Prerunner, 2WD, auto, V6, all stock

    My email is info@GunnsPhotoVideo.com

    Thanks guys

If its drive-able, take it to a nearby mechanic that specialized in Toyotas. That would be my suggestion.

I bought all the parts because I planned on doing the work myself. Unfortunately, I busted three ribs and messed up my back pretty bad. I thought I would heal but things have only become worse. I did contact three garages but none would accept my parts. Even the stealorships declined. No way I will be able to sell all the parts and not lose too much.

    Here is my list:

    Fuel filter change….

    Coolant replacement and flush….

    Oxygen sensor replacement…..

    Catalytic converter replacement…..

    Struts/Shocks replacement…..

    Brake pads, drums, rotors replacement…..

    Brake fluid flush and replacement…..

    Valve cover gasket replacement.....???

    Head gasket replacement…..???

    Spark plugs replacement…..

    Differential oil replacement…..

    Carrier bearing replacement…..

    PVC valve replacement…..

    Power steering fluid replacement.....

Why wouldn't they accept your parts?

Afraid of sub-standard parts that they could not guarantee, or just a missed opportunity of profiting from their overpriced parts?

They were afraid of my parts. I actually bought Toyota parts or upgrade parts from Rock Auto.

Strange. My favorite mechanic actually requests that I bring my own parts...

Get a quote on changing the PCV valve. Should give you a good idea of how out to lunch their pricing is since PCV valve is about as easy as an air filter to swap

That's highway robbery! I have an 04 Tacoma and I thought the fuel filter is below the driver's side door inside the frame rail. At least mine is. The fuel pump is in the gas tank. Complete rip off! They're definitely trying to take advantage of you!
