Just found out I need 50+ posts to throw this in the marketplace section...that doesn't mean I don't need a bumper though. I don't want to spam up to 50 to post there, so here goes.

Bought my truck in PA (first mistake) and this past weekend I discovered the bumper was resting on the hitch, rusted completely through. Only thing holding it to the truck were the tag light wires. Anyone got a decent OEM bumper they'd part with? Or a project bumper they never put on? I'm in the Westminster area.

First, I would check how is your frame. If your bumper rusted through, chances are your frame is quite rusty too

As for a bumper, Ford bumpers do work. You will have to do some fab work for the brackets, though.
Try looking for ranger or mazda pickup bumpers. Much more common than tacos in junkyards

or yes, Amazon or ebay. You'll find toyota OEM or replacement one for sure on there

    Give rockauto a try too!

Amazon is the best way to go. My bumper rusted out too. Bought a new one on amazon and installed without an issue.

problem with the rear bumper and salt. the way Toyota designed the bumper kind of sucks. there's a "pocket" that traps water/salt/anything that flies back from the wheels. if you got in there and coated it it would take longer to rust.

mine was still connected and OK on the sides, just the middle section where the ball would be was rusted through. I put a BSP Toyota one on that I picked up from CL 2 years ago in NC while driving to FL for vacation :)

I bought a chrome Amazon bumper and pleased with it. I can't hardly tell the difference from the rusted oem I replaced. My truck has always been a southern truck too.... but still some rust on rear bumper after 18 years.

I'm a bit intrigued by the sub $100 black Ebay bumper since I'd like to go black though.

Cool. Let us hear about it. I've been happy with my chrome one (other than wish I had bought black). OEM plastic snapped right on top too.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Do you remember the exact one you got? I'm ready to order one off Ebay or Amazon but I would like to use my oem pads. Thanks.
