Need some inexpensive shocks for the rear of my sons 2000 4Runner.
Put Bilstein 5100s up front but can’t afford to put them in the rear.

My budget is $100 (including shipping) for the rear shocks.

Here is what I have found:
2 Tokico Trekmaster shocks Total cost=$91.00
2 Monroe Sensitrack shocks Total cost=$72.00
    2 Rancho RS500 shocks Total cost=$96.00

    Any recommendations??????

We are looking at installing a daystar spacer on the rear coil. While I am working on it I figured I might as well replace the rear shocks as well.

Monroes are soft and rancho 5000s are stiff, made by the same company, so there are of equal quality. Don't know anything about tokico's. Personally I would go wit ranchos if you will be offroading, and monroes if you won't be. They both have the lifetime warranty.

    UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!
I found a discount code that allows me to get the ranchos for $76.98. Since they are only a few dollars more than the Monroes I think I am going to pick them up.

If I'm not mistaken the Tokico's are the ones that come on the base or SR5 models of our truck (and probably 4Runners). Not bad shocks, a little soft but they rode nice. I had them for a few months before I got the suspension TSB.
