Bought a Tacoma and am looking to get it transported to me from out of state. Anybody recently hired someone they can recommend? I inquired online from a few companies and they are all mostly brokers. I'd like to find someone directly who does this on their own that I can coordinate and be in touch with. I have tried Uship and not much luck yet. Thanks ahead of time.

Grey wire and keyless entry. I like stock.
Bought an ebayed Taco out of New Jersey and needed it shipped to TN. I used TSI out of Smyrna, TN. They were really good at keeping me updated on its location and how long till I'd get it. I called them for a quote and went from there. Phone no is 615-776-1225 I believe. Google if that's not right.

if we new point A to point B maybe someone knows a guy in that area

is it running and driving? have you thought about driving it back?

you can get there by plane ticket or rental car is a good idea if its only a state or two away

maybe even hire a neighbor or relatives out of work kid to drive it back for you even if they had to rent a car dolly to tow it.

just so damn expensive for what those shippers cost, I think its like $1,000 average they charge

@wcp0611 - Thanks for the info. I will give them a call.

@keakar - Wisconsin to Atlanta. Yes, the truck runs. I have considered driving it back. However, at about 13hrs of driving, time off work, and the plane ticket, it doesn't seem cost efficient. The shippers have come back with a low quote of $500 and an average of $650. I would take that except they are shipping brokers, not actual carriers. Meaning they broker the deal. However, after reading reviews etc it seems they usually say one pickup date and then changes dramatically.

Thanks for the replies so far. Anyone else have any leads of some people I can call?

I've used shippers twice. One was through www.autotransport.com and I don't remember the other. Autotransport was 3 days delayed on their pickup, but once picked up the driver stayed in contact and set up an exact time to drop off (went to dinner and got his truck washed until my buddy was able to get there since I was at NG drill). Once OR to NC, once OR to AZ. Each time it cost right at $1000. Cash paid to the driver on delivery. Both vehicles were lowered classic cars, I was able to get the drivers to put them in the front on the lower deck.

Got a few leads, but wouldn't mind any other recommendations before booking the shipment. Anyone else have a name and number to recommend?

Have you tried contacting Carmax, they ship vehicles from one lot to another daily, they may be able to help you or point you in the right direction.

Haven't explored that avenue. Will look into it. Thanks.
