    Hi,

Anyone know any good shops that can install & wire lights to a switch box in LA or OC?

Just picked up a 2023 Tacoma TRD Off Road. Have Baja Design squadron sport fogs (i already installed and hooked up to OEM fog switch), squadron pro ditch lights, and S2 pros that i’m looking to have fit flush into the rear bumper. I installed the ditch lights to caliraised brackets but they aren’t wired yet.

I just got a CaliRaised 8 Switch Panel/Switch Box and want the lights wired all to that switch panel. Only issue is the Baja Design harness already leads it to a 3 wire input switch. But i need a harness that keeps the lights on two wires (just regular pos. & neg.) so that i can hook it up to the caliraised switch panel. Having trouble finding shops willing to do this work in my area… Based in venice beach, CA but willing to take it to a shop in LA or OC.

Appreciate any input, or if one of you guys would be willing to do this for some $. Thanks

A lot of shops won’t do this kind of work, have you tried a radio shop? This is easy compared to trying to install an aftermarket radio. I’ve learned to wire up all my own stuff, it’s not that difficult.

Aftermarket wiring like this is finicky, takes a while, and can cause a bunch of issues if not done right. Shops hate it because of the liability.
Get yourself a soldering iron and watch some youtube, and try to stay away from critical components.

Thanks, i'll try a few. In terms of how to wire them, I get that (on the ditch lights, for example) I would have to take wire cutters to the 2 wires that extended from the little two-pin connector that attaches to the ditch lights. I would then run the negative to a ground. For the positive, how would i go about connecting the two ditch lights together? And from there, I know the switch box takes 1 negative and 1 positive for each of the 8 light inputs. So if I just have a positive that connects the 2 lights together and runs to the switch box, then what is the other wire it takes since my negative would be running to a ground?? Or would I also connect the 2 negatives together and run those to the switch box as well (just like the positive) instead of running them to grounds, since the switch box i'm assuming could provide power given that it too, is connected to the battery and a ground?

Sorry if this was extremely confusing lol, but once I figure this out I would be comfortable wiring them myself.

The wiring harness BD provides is exactly like the harbor freight kit. Only issue is, I need to figure out what to do with the white plastic switch/the wires that lead up to it. I don’t need that since i’m wiring it up to the caliraised switch box, but i’m assuming i can’t just leave it hanging… in this setup, doesn’t the relay make sure that the on/off is dependent on that 3 wire, white plastic covered switch lead?
