Wow...you must be the biggot police. By the way, anything that happens in and around one's property should be one's business. Even if I shared your philosophy, I have a family to worry about. I choose not to be a victim.

Anyone should take note and be concerned about suspicious activity in their community. Then again I believe in law and order. I also believe in working hard, paying my own way and being responsible. Sorry if that offends your sensibilities.

No one is shooting anything off, unless youre trying to commit a larger crime than anything the neighbor is doing. OP sounds like the off-duty cop in Orange County that shot his gun at some school kids cause they were walking on his lawn.

At this point I see your not serious. If you took time to read my words instead of jumping to a prejudged conclusion and finding a cause to take up, you would know that I am not complaining about passersby.

I think there are some protestors somewhere that need a cause and a leader.

Hate cops much? Hope you never need help or assistance. If you do, maybe you shouldn't dial 911. Also I really hope you have some means to defend yourself and any others that need defending.

Honestly I would love to live in the bubble that you must think is reality. The problem is that it is not reality. There are selfish people in the world that don't give a crap about anyone but themselves and they will victimize anyone to meet their selfish needs.

The fact that this person is doing what he's doing around my house and not his house means something isn't right. He can choose to endanger himself but it crosses the line when he involves my address.

OP, go with your gut on this one. I think you are doing the right thing by getting law enforcement involved if you see more of this kind of behavior from the neighbor.

If someone mistakes your house for the address he's using and gets ripped off, whether its drugs, phones or whatever....
Your family could be at risk.

Agreed...I gave him every opportunity and was willing/wanting to believe he was a naive young person not versed with the real ways of the world.

The side of my house is secluded and there are woods there. I told him the first time we spoke that someone could rob him and do whatever and no one would see anything. He seemed genuinely naive.

However I have a hard time believing that someone could not know the dangers of Craigs List and having strangers coming to your house...or even knowing your address.

Paranoid much? I have had people coming to my house to buy stuff (or take freebies off the porch) for at least a decade. Stop assuming the worst in people, and maybe, just maybe you won't get it.

Free shit off your porch is a little different then some D bag selling drugs and using someone else's address to do it. The amount of times people have been killed over a bag of weed is ridiculous. OP has every right to fear for his families protection, especially after he has warned the guy twice already.

I'd go out and tell them where he lives point out the house and number, and explain to the buyer/s that this is the (however many times) this has happened.. maybe then the guy will get the hint

Haha how dare you knock on his door and tell him to stop directing strangers to meet in your front yard for Craigslist transactions!

Also look at Ring stick up cams. I love mine. Cloud recording for $30 a year.

How about OP have the neighbor use Caligula's address for his Craigslist shit, I mean his above board innocent business. See what tune he sings when the shit is at his house.

Check your GPS. Enter his address. If it is in there then call the police. My home address isn't in my GPS . Even street vue shows my neighbor. I dunno why. It's the latest and greatest version. Even on my cell it doesn't give me my address.

WTF is YOUR problem. You're naive to think that anyone selling "used cellphones" in front of SOMEONE ELSE'S address is a saint. So, the person robbing the bank while you're in it that has a gun to your head and says, "get on the floor" is really just holding a water gun? Go ahead and test him, refuse and tell him to pull the trigger.

We don't live in the 60's anymore where hearing a knock at your door meant your friendly neighbors were stopping by to share a slice of pie and a cup of tea. Climb out from under that rock and stop being naive about the world you live in now. The OP is being proactive in a situation that he feels is harmful to him and his family. You're ignorant if you wouldn't do the same.

    @InfernoTonka
I can't advise anything else that the previous posters haven't already said. Regardless, you're doing the right thing. I would like to hear what the outcome of everything is. Even if his used cell phone business out of the trunk of a car is legit, it's comforting to know that no funny business is going on. At that point you can try to be friendly and say you were only protecting you and your family. You can also ask if he can move his business somewhere else at that point.

    Good luck.
