Need advice on a first Tacoma purchase

Hey ya”ll was referred to this forum by a YouTube video. I’ve been wanting a Tacoma for some time and I am ready to pull the trigger after my current car crapped out. Been doing a bunch of research, and searching for deals in my area. From what I’ve been seen so far i believe I’d like a v6. It can be manual or automatic. Although I've heard manuals are better? I’m willing to finance up to 25k ish preferably below 20k. Any thought and insight into what years/model/ and miles I should be looking for? Any help is greatly appreciated! Trying to learn as I go, thank you.
