    Sorry to hear that yours is giving you so much trouble and I hope you find some resolution with Toyota you can feel good about. Your Tacoma shouldn't come with factory installed problems.

    Competition improves the breed and with the Tacoma, Toyota needs more competition.

    Personally, I think the first generation Tacomas were a bit higher quality than the second generations, but they had to be to justify costing a bit more than Ford Rangers, Chevy S-10s, GMC S-15s, the Mazdas, the Isuzus, the Nissans, etc.

    Today, Toyota owns the smaller truck market, which for them is now a more or less competition-free zone. I guess the moral of the Corporate world story is that you're only as good as you have to be.

    Fortunately, we have Tacoma World to pick up the engineering/manufacturing slack and help us make things right. Excuse me while I go measure my drive shaft angles with my brand new Wixey WR300 Digital Angle Gauge to figure out what to buy and replace next...
