Need advice on buying JDM

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I am currently stationed in Okinawa Japan and I am considering buying an early 90s Land Cruiser with intent to ship and eventually sell while I am stateside. My question is how good is the market for these vehicles? Considering it will be right hand drive japanese domestic market and everything that goes with that. I can get a Prado EX or similar for around $20k and would only really consider buying it if I can expect to make a profit selling it in the states. Thanks for the help!

 

They pop up on BAT from time to time. The problem is finding one in Japan without tons of rust. There is a market stateside for them but I wouldn’t buy it for potential profit, buy it for enjoyment. The next time I’m in Japan I’m actually going to shop around for one as well to bring back.
