My advice is you should not buy that truck. I wouldn't trust it just looking at the picture.

Honestly, this is what I was looking for. I'll be using this truck 90% daily driver 6% towing and 4% towing off-road. 100% mall parking lot beauty queen and 100% fuel economy with a dash of "the wife and kids don't like it so I get some time alone with it".

No one is re-gearing. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned it, and said no one knows about it. Post #19

People re-gear to offset the effects of larger tires. I highly doubt that the truck has been re-geared expect to spend around 2k just to make the truck drive like it should.

Example: just to go the spend limit without putting your foot to the floor, or tow or pull anything. Going up any hill would not be fun but I see your from FL

You're correct, but it's not TOTALLY necessary for only 33s. It'll drive better, but not needed IMO.

I run a 285 on 20's and it's damn close, most likely to hit on flex.

I'm new to lifts, first I've had on a taco. Is a 3 inch lift with blocks a horrible idea? It was dealer installed. I will admit I'm not a huge fan of the ride, but better than my stock first gens.

Don't take my criticism negatively, but why put 20's and blocks on a TRDOR? If you want a bro truck, just get the Sport...or better yet, a Nissan Titan or Chevy Silverado.

I'd like to understand, but I can't figure it out.

IMO, yes, it's a horrible idea. You can do a proper suspension lift for around $700
