    No mods
    I did do the hammer test, and will do the screw driver test as well. There’s solid metal underneath. I’m working on getting it into a place where I can get back up on a lift to do the work myself.

    What this guy says, I apply rust converter let it sit for a day then the under coating.

    If it’s just scaling it’s a pretty easy affair OP, take your time don’t rush.

    Do your body a favour wear a mask and eye protection, and keep your work area well ventilated. You DO NOT want any of that shit inside your lungs or eyes.
