I have a stock 21 DCSB planning my first big upgrade. Wondered if anyone has thoughts on the configuration below:

    1. Blistein 5100
    2. JD Fabrication Upper Control Arm
    3. Black Rhino guides with -10 offset
    4. ECGS bushing Install (don’t know what this is but was recommended by the shop)
    5. Weld cam tabs (don’t know what this is but was recommended by the shop)
    6. Wild peak at3 285/75r16
    7. Icon add a leaf

is there anything I’m missing? I’m thinking a 2.5” lift with levelling.

Well ecgs bushing is not for everyone. Why change if ur bushing is fine. And that tire size shouldn't be rubbing if your alignment is properly adjusted. My buddy has 285/70/17 without cab mount chop and doesn't rub at all.

It’s apparently due to some trucks sometimes getting vibrations when they are lifted and an install would be easier and cheaper if it was done at the same time as the lift. It’s $400 CAD extra for the parts and labour.

If you lift the truck it is very likely it will happen. I went through two needle bearings before finally switching out the bearing for the ECGS clamshell bushing. Save yourself the headache and do it now

also, you will likely need a cab mount chop if you are going with 285’s

the welded cam tabs isn’t exactly necessary, but will help keep alignment if you offroad rock crawl and the like

You wont know its fine until after you lift the truck. Its a no brainer to do it will you have the front end apart to do the suspension. Its only $60

I have 285/70/17 with CMC and I still rub.

ECGS is good to replace while you're doing a lift if you can.

Harsh beach driving flattened my alignment tabs. Def worth it if it ever leaves the pavement.

Great, thanks. Super useful advice. Any thoughts on the wheels/tire set up. Will -10 offset with 285s cause rubbing without any chopping?

My -10 rubbed before trimming and CMC and rubs still. Others didn't have this issue, some only had to do some trimming and there were some like me, who still rub.. As odd as it sounds, it really is a truck by truck case.

265 and no rubbing, nor a need for UCA's.

How’s this look for an alignment? I’m getting a vibration at around 65. 2 inch lift. Ome control arms. 285 ko2s. 11F246DE-DF24-4756-AF96-13F1FB5B1710.jpg

Thanks, did you just upgrade the shocks. Is anything required for bushings and what did you go with for wheel offsets. I think 32s might be more realistic to avoid rubbing.

Correct. Bilstein 5100s recommends you keep the OEM coils, so I did'nt bother with those, nor didnt do the bushings and still have the OEM OR wheels.
