CZ, check out the 2075 RAMI. (smaller version of the CZ 75) although might be hard to find one in your price range. 600 +/- new.

I have a Glock 19 and a Glock 43, I originally bought the 19 for my concealed carry. I love the gun, fires great, accurate and Glock has a great reputation. However after carrying it for some time I realized its just a little to big for me. I'm not a very big guy about 5'-6" and decided to go for something a little smaller. Made the transition to the 43, its the perfect size and weight fully loaded and fires just as well as the 19.

Highly recommend, but ultimately your decision as it is something you'll be carrying daily.

I enjoy a Bersa 380cc, easy and comfortable to conceal IWB, has a 7+1 capacity, its fairly light and will only cost you around $300

But as continually stated.... its all in preference; size, weight, capacity, caliber, etc...

Go to a range and try a few different styles and go from there

Thats quite sexy..... I have a full size Springfield XDm40 but its way to much to carry around all the time.

I too have smaller hands and would recommend an XDS. My personal opinion is that a slimmer frame gun is easier to conceal than a wider frame. The slim frame also fits smaller hands well, and the xds will give you a choice on grip lengths and back straps out of the box. Option to buy 9 round magazine also. I wear athletic t-shirts most of the time and can conceal an XDS 3.3 9mm and XDS 4.0 .45 well.

I feel like you watched me on my own quest... too funny. I wonder how many have gone this path? G19... then instead of the Ruger I landed on a Sig P938, downside is mag capacity. Now thinking the new Sig P365 for greater capacity. I still prefer 9mm. I’ve never, ever found a holster set up I really like. Most comfortable has been from Nate2Tactical.

Agree with others, best bet is to handle as many as you can, and go with what you feel good about. And yes, you’ll spend money on holsters.

Remember, with the smaller mouse guns you need excellent form and a firm wrist to reduce the chance of a fail to feed. Maybe not universal but that has been my experience.

I love my shield in 9mm and I have big hands. Nothing else really felt that comfortable in my hand

Go with the Ruger LC9. Easily concealable but not so small that it's too small for your hand. Pretty sure they go for $300-$350. I have one for my wife and every once in a while I will carry it when were together. Other than that, I have a Ruger SR40C. I carry IWB on my side and it's not noticeable, and I'm not a big guy (6' 185lbs). It is a little uncomfortable sometimes but with as often as I carry I've gotten used to it. I think these go for $450 still. I just liked the thought of having a slightly bigger round for personal defense (que the 40 jokes).
