Don't get me wrong the factory stereo sounds great. Definitely can't complain about it, but I want a little more bass than what it offers.

Is there a way to just upgrade the factory JBL sub and amplifier. Plug and play, of course. Orrrrr???

So what's your advice, suggestions, or recommendations?!

    Thanks in advance!

Crutchfield will be one of the best sites you ever work with. Their customer service is great and a question like this would be perfect to ask one of their service guys who you can text or talk to over the phone, they know everything.

I've 'heard' that the JBL system presents more challenges in adding aftermarket things such as subs. There's an amplifier up in the dash I think so you need to take that into consideration if adding an aftermarket amplifier. Just something to consider. You don't want to amplify an amplified signal.

I have a whole aftermarket system utilizing the stock head unit (non-JBL) and I would say its not very 'plug n play'.
