    Hello
I currently have a 2005 stick 4 cylinder. I am looking at several 2009, 2010 and 2011 manual shift and ran across a 2011 with 100k miles. How do the V6 hold up long term vs. a 4 cylinder?
Thanks! I am a new Member.

'hold up' is totally dependent on the care it was given.

100k is minimal, but if it's an unknown seller with little to no maintenance documentation, it's worth a pro pre purchase inspection, including a compression check.

You don't say where you live, but a frame check is in order too, especially if the truck has ever lived in snow

The v6 has a great reputation for longevity and reliability. Mine has 106k on the clock so I can’t yet speak to personal experience with longevity since 300k+ is common. I can say that in that 106k I have only done oil changes and 1 coolant change. Nothing has ever broken. That said, I recently did my first brake job and need to replace my ujoints. I can call that extremely reliable.

Frame rust is a bigger issue.
