I'm seriously looking at buying a Tacoma Double Cab. Looking at a 2009 with just a little over 6000 miles, one owner - Just a base prerunner. asking $22,500.00 - Bottom line price. And then there is a 2010 SR5 - $26,204.00. A little advice please - In the long run will I regret buying the 09 over the 2010? $3700.00 difference in price, however, I'm thinking will be glad I got what I wanted! But I am also wanting to make the right deal - What do you think? What about the prices are these fair - in your opinion?

I just purchased my 2010 in November, and at the time, there was no reason to buy an 08 or 09. I looked at the used tacomas in my area and they were only a couple of thousand less than buying new with zero miles and full warranty. Also, I had the opportunity get all the options I wanted. I bought the 4WD because I'm in an area that gets a little snow. After the blizzard that we've endured over the past couple of days, I'm so happy I did. I passed more than one douche in a 2wd truck that got stuck. So, as others have already said: Get what you want and what suites you.

Get what you want. Never settle. You spend too much on a vehicle purchase to not be completely satisfied and second guess your purchase. I new the exact identical truck I wanted and wasn't purchasing til one was found. Luckily only took about a month to locate what I was looking for.

Took out the bench seat and but in leather racing bucket seats from Schucks, thus making mine a 2 seater. Put a leather steering wheel cover on.
i would get the new one so that you can enjoy having new car smell!

Got The new One! 2010 Silver Streak Mica, PreRunner SR5 Package - Dbl. Cab. Just couldn't see paying the price they asking for an '09 with way less options. Now we will see how things work out - I really like the wheels on this model!:D
