Obviously it is a personal decision but, you asked for opinions. i recommend you keep the f150 unless it is giving you problems. I made the switch from full size because i really wanted the MT and it was available with a 6' bed which i need. I do not necessarily regret it however, if I could do it over I would keep the full size.

i grew up with MT and have owned and driven many of them. i am not fond of the 3G tacoma MT and engine combo.

While I do miss the extra room of the full size, what I really miss is the solid well-built feeling even after 100K miles. our 2009 camry with 225K miles is more solid and the fit and finish better than the '22 tacoma.

i am not one to get rid of vehicles and as long as the tacoma stays reliable i intend to keep it. i really hope it makes it 200K+ miles without major issues.

OP...my kids are 12 and 8 as well. They complain all the time about the lack of space. I tell them to suck it up for now since we don't use the Taco for long road trips and have a family hauler for that. I do think eventually I'll go FS once they are HS aged. I just can't seem to get rid of the Taco. It is definitely one of the longest vehicles I've kept.

yeah, probably for the best, and FYI they don't last long unless they are priced way over market.

I went from a Silverado to the Tacoma last year. I loved the Silverado and the space, but it just didn't fit me for how I drive and what I need a truck for. Also, I don't have the young kid issue like the OP. I am personally much happier in the Tacoma than I was with the Silverado. The Silverado is a great truck, but the Tacoma is just better for me.

You are making payments on a truck you are dissatisfied with. You will be going back to a truck that you know you will like, and will have payments on. Therefore, for me its simple: would you rather be making payments on a truck you like or one you are dissatisfied with?

    Hope this helps a little.

You’ve very recently owned both mid-size and full-size trucks, so no one knows better than you which one best fits your lifestyle, wants and needs.
