Stock with a camper shell for now.
So I’m getting my 2019 DCLB Tacoma next week
All stock beside a camper shell on it.

I have read over a ton of different post about lifts/tires and wheels and feel more confused then when I started. I will use the truck for a daily driver as well as a hunting rig. My previous Toyota Tacoma (2009 DCLB) had a camper shell as well and I put uca and bilsteins with a coil to get the lift I wanted which was level. I was running a 285/70-17r on it but it rubbed.

with the new truck I am wanting to run either 275/70-r17 or 285/70-r17 without rubbing, what does everyone suggest as far as a lift and wheel set up?
From what I have read it seems as though what would work best for me is a bilstein set to maybe an inch lift with stock coils since from what I have read aftermarket coils are not suggested and then to put a level lifting block in the rear.

Am I on the right track? What are your suggestions? Do I need a leaf spring in the rear with the camper shell? And should that be how I get the lift in the rear instead of a block? And should I replace the bump stops ? Thanks everyone trying to figure out what all I should and need to order once I get the truck to mod it.

also forget to mention at some point I want to put a rear bumper on it with a swing gate and wheel on the rear as well as skid plates and a front bumper that is fitting in the center of the stock bumper with a winch. Also my last question from what I have read a lot of guys add one more clip to there shock on the driver side to get it level from driver to passenger side if I go with the bilstein shocks would that be suggested ? Sorry for all the questions.

I would run 6112/5160's icon rxt stage 2, or stage 3 if plan on carrying 200lb or more constantly. 0 to +4 offset 275's hit or miss on 285's rubbing. UCA's optional remember good alignment shop is key, max out Caster to clear body mount. My 2 cents. Sure there will be more chiming in.
