Just bought a new 2012 Tacoma and I am looking at a set of Dick Cepek wheels 17x9. offset -12mm and back space is 4.5". With no lift and no spacers, what is the largest tire I can go with with no rubbing problems? And what if I did have 1.25" spacers?

If you go with 265s make sure the tire is approved for use on 9" rims.

Spacers will actually make things rub worse, since those wheels already stick out a decent amount.

Do you think those wheels will rub anyway? I want to widen the stance a little anyway.

I've heard of 9" wide rims with 4.5" backspacing rubbing even with 265s. Bt , there are plenty if folks running that combo without rubbing either. Seems like it is hit or miss.

Cool, thanks for the info. I think I might just go with a 3" lift so I can get a bigger tire under it then
