Looks like a little to high. The fins on your CV boots should not be touching.

your doing it wrong. go back and take a picture of the INNER cv boot. 4'' of lift and good cv angles is impossible...

thats how my cv axles are ok the angle between the inner and outer fins is all the same angle so the fins on the cv bot look just the same.

Looks to me like those boots are touching.....Prepare to replace them when they begin to tear.

I see a black ring around one of the fins. Thats an indicator they are touching.

Still scratching my head as to how you confused .5" with 4".........Anyway, the angle is a bit much. As Chris said, they will eventually tear as more miles rack up. I bought my truck with 3" lift, he said the lift had been on for 10k miles. I drove it for 1k more miles and the passenger boot tore. I then looked at my drivers side boot and the fins were touching (yes only 1), and it was very close to being gone. Better read up on how to replace boots soon or drop the billys to 0.

don't they rub slightly from suspension articulation and or turning?

but I agree, they will eventually wear out.

At full extension, Yes, But how often do you drive with your suspension fully extended?
