Thanks guys for all the images and help with resizing, etc. Just uploaded an image that longhorn did and looks great! By all means, keep sending pics...especially the 3D looking ones, they look cool on my nav!
On a side note I have a pioneer F900Bt which has gotten a bad rap, but let me tell you it is one cool HU. It has endless possibilities and can do more than I will ever be able to figure out.

yeah, gotta do that. Will get some pics up soon. One thing....there are some really cool images out there, but I am unable to resize many of them to 800x480....they will resize, but not to 800x480....can some images simply not be compressed to 800x480 even if it distorts the image?

I don't think it matters what size you want to resize it to, but many programs out there probably try to maintain the aspect ratio. Therefore you'll never get 800x480 because most images don't have that kind of h/w ratio.

yea man I hate that little link. I wish photoshop had an option the get rid of that ratio link.
The best way I know of to get around that h/w ratio being linked together is while in photoshop open the original image then open a new template and set the pixels to the size you want (in this case 800x480), if your not worried about your original image getting bent outa shape a little, drag the original image to the new template and Ctrl+T (apple+T) to resize to the new image to the new template's 800x480 size

pretty sure you can change the aspect ratio.

whenever you go to resize it, look for a chain link to the right of the length and width boxes. click it so the link appears broken, then type whatever numbers you want in there.

I know that GIMP can do it, and if I was on my windows partition rather than my linux partition I would let you know for sure...but if GIMP can do it I'm betting photoshop can.

You can resize the image without that constraint... I do it all the time. Open the image you want to resize, click on the Image menu and click the Image Size menu item. You'll get the attached dialog box. Uncheck the "Constrain Porportions" and you can set the height/width to whatever you want.
