Sorry and good luck. I just noticed you have a 2010. Might not be so present this soon after release of the truck.

Anything from an 05+ should fit the 2010. I have one for sale, but it's for a short bed. Bump for you.

I have a used Leer t700 flat lid that will fit your truck. I purchased it used, for $300 but I recently got a tool box as a gift so I have removed it. It needs shocks but other than that it is in over good shape. I will let go for $200, I am up in Georgia often the lid is in Orlando. I will be driving up that way in a few weeks, pm me so we can discuss if you are interested.

Good luck. I have been seraching for a cap for my truck since November. I've looked on craigslist and on here every day for the last 3 months and nothing. You can get a new on for 1000-1500 depending on what brand and model you get. Its almost worth it to get a new one verse trying to find one and drive to get it.

GT, been looking at the new camper tops...man are they $$$. I have also done a ton of reviews on LEER and ARE. I have read much that LEER is having some quaility control issues. Also talked to a dealer the other day who sold both LEER and ARE. He dropped LEER and now only sells ARE. He said LEER really cut back on using quaility materials. For what its worth.

I have owned ARE on previous trucks always had good luck. Not owned a LEER product. I am in a holding pattern unless I come upon a really great deal. For the $$$ they are going to have to improve in quaility before I order a new one. Best of luck in your search.

The ARE Z series are the absolute best looking and built that I have ever seen but man are they expensive. I've been thinking about selling mine just to change over but it still would cost me like $800 more.

I have a Jason platinum serise. It's the best that they make. I found it used but had to drive 3 hrs to pick it up. It's built super tough though. I still want an ARE!!

    Best pic I have.

    GT,

I've been looking at all 3 Toppers here in Dallas. Snugtop, Leer, & ARE. All are great looking caps and they all have the top of the line stuff. Snugtop is by far the most expensive (I was looking at the XV and the local shop wanted $2650), I have read and heard about the Leer issues so I steered clear of getting a quote but I did like the 100XL, looks like the Snugtop XV. There are few members here that have the Leers and they only have said good things about them. I think price wise they are up there (I don't think you can find one less than $1500). On the other hand I got a really good price on the ARE CX series which looks like the Snugtop but has a frame around the windows. Anyways the best price for all the options (color matched, fold down front slider, screened slide side windows, carpet headliner, 12 V dome light, heavy duty rear lock) that I found was $1195 brand spanking new installed out the door. If you are serious about the ARE, I will give you my contact maybe he can work with you.

I just bought a silver mica streak SNUGTOP XV for 800.00 on craigslist. It took me 7 weeks to find it. Needless to say the guy said people were offering 500-600 and 800 was what he was willing to take ( he paid 1050.00 used). It has the yakima racks and everything. Needless to say, I'm jacked because I also spent lots of time and everything else never seem to happen. I almost "settled" for a LEER and am glad I got what I really wanted.

Just keep at it and continue to search for them, they are out there and when 1 comes avail ... make sure you communicate with the seller via phone ( I found texting and emailing on craigslist is a DISADVANTAGE)and I'm sure it will work out for you! :) Also use multiple searches ( toyota, tacoma, camper, shell ) sometimes people don't post them as accurately as possible.

Good Choice! That's what I'm looking at right now. ARE CX. :D Post some pics, let us know what you like and don't like once you get it. If possible, PM your final price just want to compare to what I've been quoted.
