Need center/carrier bearing measurements

    Does anyone have an OEM or Spicer 5002007 carrier bearing lying around? I'm curious what the inside bearing width is.

    Here’s all the bearing dimensions, but the actual bearing width is not given. Width would be front to back, as it’s positioned in the truck.

    I saw that, bummer it doesn't give the actual bearing inner race width. I might be forced to pick one up just to measure

    I replaced my OEM bearing years ago with a Spicer for a Ford Ranger or Bronco II. No problems since then. It actually help improve the driveshaft angle, after the lift, than the OEM version. Just an FYI in case you wanted another option. It wasn't completely plug and play but not that hard to find a way to mount it.

    That's my intent, I've read that the 14/15 driveshafts are different than the early 2nd gen though and that the yoke lock nut won't be able to thread down as much as it should with the Ford bearing. Trying to get some measurements to verify before I pull everything apart

    the Ford bearing from IEDLS i have been running is actually thinner than the stock bearing (as the stock bearing has extra seals for the bearing rather than a sealed bearing itself). The ford cb can technically be moved forward n back ~1/4in on the machined surface of the front shaft, but because it press fits it only moves as far as the bolt on yoke pushes it in. Needless to say on my 2013 I had no issue with thread engagement on the main nut.

    Do know that there is a proper torque sequence, wherein you actually torque that nut to a MUCH higher value first to press everything together, back it off completely then torque to its final value and stake it (or in my case some red loctite)

    Likely because that guy kept the stock slingers on which take up considerable room.
