Alright so heres the deal I bought a 40 series flowmaster for $10 and want to put it on my 3.4L v6. My question is what should I do as far as piping, should I just dump it right out of the muffler? Or should I get my old piping welded to the new flowmaster? I dont want it annoying loud just good, I dont know if dumping it makes it louder and ricey or gives it better tone. Please give me your opinions and experiences.:)

Dumping the exhaust right out of the muffler would make for some really annoying drone, IMHO. Weld it to your old pipes.

Cool I think thats what im going to do I would put a 50 on but I got this one for basically free. How much do you think it would cost for a shop to weld it into place?

If a shop charges you more than $50, they are stealing from you. A shop should be able to put it in for around $35 if you are just welding in the new muffler. If you are keeping all other pipe, be aware that the new muffler might be shorter than the stock one, so you may have to pay for some pipe to close that gap...

Ya the muffler will be shorter than the stock muffler.
