Ok I need some guidance. My 2017 SR5 was totaled around the end of Dec. I’m heart broken, but I just put a deposit down on a new 2022 TRD OR. Lord knows when it will come in. Anyway, on my 2017 I had a 3/2 lift and ran 295/55/R20 0 offset with no problems, minor plastic trim. It had a great stance. I’ll post pic. I want the same stance on my new Taco, but want to go down to a 17”or 18” wheel. Dealer is doing the same 3/2 Bilstein lift. I’m looking at the Icon Compression or Rebound 0 offset.
My question is will the 18 x 9 give me a better stance than the 17 x 8.5? Tires will be 285/70 R17 or 285/65 R18. Thank you in advance.

21' TRD OffRoad 2" 887 OME on Bilstein 5100's. 285/70R17 General Grabbers G3 17x8.5" Icon TRD wheels (Gun metal gray) 4.75" BS
    285/70 R17 on 17x9 4.75" BS.

    285/70R17 on 17x8.5 4.75 BS

That .5" makes a very subtle difference in how the tire fills out the stance. But of course; the brand of tire also makes a difference.

Thanks for the info, I was wondering about that .5” difference. Wish I could run a 295 in a 17 but I think it will rub with a 295/70 and you can’t find them 295/65.
