No sales tax in the state I'm registering. But sales tax doesn't matter when considering price and "deal".

It's $38,000 plus doc fee of $150 and license fee for my state of $300-ish. No sales tax in Oregon.

I bought a TRD 4x4 OR today for about $1300 below invoice. Had to give the floor mats back in the deal.

Looks like some parts of the TW price / option list may include the delivery fee - base price looks to be 995 off.

One thing to keep in mind, you can always get a better price it just depends on how much time, money and effort you want to spend looking. As others have said it sounds like a pretty decent deal. Could you save another $500? Probably. But how much time are you willing to spend looking? I've learned to do a little research and take the deal you are comfortable with and don't ever look back and think, "could I have found a better price?" You'll drive yourself crazy.

Im a fan of messing with them a little during negotiations---especially if it highlights something stupid they are trying to work into the deal. So with that in mind:

You need to demand 78% off of the nitrogen tire fill fee. The air we normally pump into tires is 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen and some other gases. So, they are really only giving you 22% more nitrogen than normal. Ergo: you should pay $6.60 and NOT A CENT MORE.

    Make sure thats clear.

Depends on what's included. Do you have the price sheet that shows dealer invoice? Often times dealers will add the TDA or TMF into the cost so you can't see it and then reduce from there.

You're 100% correct. It's like buying and selling stocks. I don't see much room to squeeze out of the deal. Maybe the nitro fee, part of the window tint, and the invoice cost of parts compared to the true cost to the dealer. Without transparency, it's pretty hard to beat the invoice prices.

I'd say it is still a good deal. If that was the truck I wanted, I would buy it. I'm in the market soon, so I hope I get that good of deal somewhere in Colorado.

I did get to see the Dealer Cost sheet and the Marketing Fee on my Truck was $681, it probably does vary by regions.

I use to sell cars - The delivery charge of $900 and the TMF - toyo marketing are all profit for the dealership -they probably wont move on the delivery charge but the toyo marketing $1100 needs to be removed from your offer. they are still making money on the doc fee

Yeah. I bought mine used and it has sorta high miles. When I bought it, the 2017s were still pretty expensive and dealerships weren't willing to budge much on price. This truck comes with literally every option I want to add to my truck. I have an expansive spreadsheet with all the costs and current investment into this truck. Even with airfare and everything included, it's only going to cost me $1400 to go from my stock 2016 with 28,000 miles to a 2017 with ALL the options I want already installed and zero miles. I got a great deal on my 2016.

Yep, agreed. So other than the tint and nitro tires, it's basically being sold at invoice. Obviously the dealership will still make some money, but I'm feeling better about it every day.

Remove those carpet mats. I have 2 extra sets. 30 with shipping. Brand new. I took them off and swapped them for rubber mats a week after I got my truck.
    Remove
