So I just had all this work done on my vehicle . New 5.29 gears Icon lift ,LCA all done by 4 wheel parts . Only day one into driving and I’m going across country experiencing a multitude of issues and I need to know if it’s safe to drive or should I stop now and put in shop ? I’ll upload a picture with bent metal on wheel and I’ll send a video on sound that is coming from front left I believe . It won’t let me upload video for some reason

I can’t load the video, but it looks like the metal is bent at the outside of your cv axle. Yes?

Make sure the cv nut is torqued correctly and the cv is fully seated.

My only guess without hearing the sound would be a “woom wooom woooom woooom” sound like a wheel bearing going bad or pulling apart. It would be directly related to your speed.

    Start simple:

    Rotors hitting the dust shield?
    Lug nuts all torqued correctly?
    Caliper hitting the wheel?

Calipers are on the back side of the wheel. Turn full lock passenger and should be able to poke your head under there.

I’d go to a shop that does alignments. If you don’t have The tools and feel brave enough to tackle it then go to autozone (Borrow tools) and check out all those things @eccracer104 mentioned. Anything further would be major repair (front diff/transfer case).

Kind of sounds like the time a rock got caught between my front rotor and dust shield. What were you doing when the noise started?

Also, to everyone reading this: Please, please, please, stop getting work done at 4 wheel parts.

Doesn’t sound like a wheel bearing to me.

Where about in the country are you? Might be someone local that can lend a hand and some tools.

Or even if you have the stock bottle jack. Lift that side up and rotate the wheel by hand. See if that helps you isolate where the sound is coming from.

Luckily if it is a dust shield that's an easy fix :sawzall:

Sounds like the dust shield to me. Sometimes when rotating tires the person doing the rotation gets lazy and drops the wheel on the dust shield bending it forward a bit.
