need help buying a good floor jack

I just bought a sears 3 ton that looks just like the arcan except it's black. And it is really heavy, I know people here said it was big but I was surprised at how big and heavy it really is. The handle is probably a yard long. I've used it only twice but it's not bad, lifts my truck high enough without needing a wood block. The only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't let down slowly, it drops t immediately.
