You stated that the 10A IG1 No.2 was not "hot" when you metered it. Where there any conditions for the vehicle to have juice, like key in ACC position and by any chance it blew while checking?

This dealership is not clearly not capeable of fixing this truck. Throwing parts at it on my dime, and then trying to charge me $6,000 for a entirely new wiring harness is there way of saying fuck you and washing their hands of me... Extremely fustrating... I have another dealer near by, but I have a "build tech" going to this dealership the truck is currently at. I really want to transfer the truck to another dealer because I have absolutley ZERO faith/trust in this dealership. We will see how this pans out this week

This fuse relation is specific to a 2005, I don't have the details for your year.

This was told to me by the dealership, quote from the tech: "There was no power at IG1 no.2 so therefore the junction box needs to be replaced" I am not sure how involved their diagnostics went in regards to key on in ACC etc.
I am starting to think the wiring harness is compromised because of the Tech's BS. Wether it be the jumper wire he ran or in the install of the junction box.

When the fuse blew for the IGN no2 the TCS lights were on an the windows didnt work. replaced the fuse and those controls worked again.

As of right now, the only thing that does not not work is the interior fan. I would bet money that jumper wire they are running as a band-aid is contributing to the fan not working.

I'm curious what was the outcome. Maybe op brought a shotgun to the dealer and is now incarcerated.

Tech School 101, don't hang parts to fix a problem. Diagnose the problem, then repair the fault. At least at my school this was drilled into our brains. I never really had the bad habit of being a part hanger to start with. There were plenty of my classmates who did though. They would come up with a Wild "diagnoses" (In reality, a vague guess), go to the parts store, buy something, hang it... whoops didn't fix the problem... Or the vehicle would come back with the same issue a short time later. (Don't get me fucking started on min 90s and early 00's GM PCM "failures". They aren't made poorly, you're wiring is fucked, a new PCM will "fix" it for a bit, before that blows out too)

hah.... The "build tech" from corporate didn't come down. Service manager there says that's not what they are there for and rejected his appearance...
I demanded a refund since the truck was not put together properly. Grommet in the firing wall not installed properly, cut frayed wires not taped to make safe and of course ...They broke my fans.... I pulled the truck out of the dealership today. With this incredible resource I am going to try and tackle it myself. Wish me luck!

Sounds more like the service manager doesn’t want someone from the factory see the hack job his top mechanic has done to a customers vehicle and is embarrassed also not wanting them to see that his top guy can’t figure it out. Even more likely, not wanting them to see that they replaced an alternator, unnecessary, replaced a junction box, unnecessary, recommend a wiring harness, unnecessary. All to milk money out of a customer.

Don’t walk, RUN away taking your truck with you. Write a nice long detailed yelp review to warn others away.

That junction box looks visually ok, ALOT of wires going back in forth in that unit. Going deeper tomorrow, hopefully I will find something

Something for after you get your truck fixed.

Save every piece of paper from that dealer. Call the Bureau of Automotive Repair, Toyota Corporation and a lawyer if you have one. I’m sure it’ll be a nightmare of red tape. It’s obvious they were being dishonest and selling you unneeded repairs.

In my 40+ years of driving, I’ve had very few positive experiences at a dealer. I’m licensed to drive everything, motorcycles, cars, big rigs. I’ve seen some wild ass shit. Eating a bowl of cereal with both hands off the wheel, mouth sex, solo female finger sex, reading a fully open newspaper, and of course face in phone all while driving. Oops, off track. I avoid dealers. If I feel I must go, I expect the worst.

THE mistake the OP made at the beginning, was not getting an agreement from the dealer that he (the OP) would not be responsible for arbitrary "parts replacement" to repair a problem not properly / accurately diagnosed. Had the dealer refused to agree, the OP would have known early on, to find another dealer or independent repair facility. I do this before every EVERY visit to ANY repair facility.
