    Hello All,

I have a 2014 TRD Off Road Package, I am looking to put a Toytec adjustable coilovers set at 1.5" to level the front and no lift on the back with BFG TA KO2 265/70r17 but since my truck came from the factory with 16's will this work? Has any one done it? Pics?

You will need 17" wheels. Your truck has 16" wheels. If you don't want to buy new wheels and new tires you would want 265/75/16 tires.

I know I am just wondering if it will rub or anything or can I just add the leveling kit at 1.5 and then go straight to the 17in rim and the BFG TA KO2 265. I am new to all this lol

My question is why does the trd off road come with 16's and the sport with 17's if you where to but 17's on the trd off road and not lift it would it be ok. I know I am dumb when it comes to this stuff!

OME dakar lift, MB TKO's, bfg KO2's, tinted, blacked out everything, cap.
Glad someone posted this. I am about to pull the trigger on a full set of 17" wheels and some 255/75/17's for them. I just need to know how much it is going to rub. I have dakars and 884's with 1/4 spacers. Mud flaps will be coming off this weekend.
I really wanted a 32" tire. I don't do extreme offroading or rockcrawling where a larger sidewall is going to make a big difference.

Going up in rim diameter won't change anything as far as fitment as long as you are close to the same width / backspace etc. For the tires you will need to drop roughly one aspect ratio for each inch you increase the rim diameter (TRD OR comes with 265/70/16 & TRD Sport comes with 265/65/17). The general rule is that you can go up one size in most cases on tire size with little or no fitment issues so a 265/75/16 or 265/70/17 are about as big as will normally fit on the current stock Taco's. Bigger than that and you start "adjusting" things to make them fit, from mild to wild depending on what you are trying to fit.

265/70/16 and 265/65/17 are the same size diameter but different size wheel. The reason the Off road package comes with a 16 inch rim is because then there is more rubber to absorb hits from off roading (in theory). If you have the off road tires/wheels (16 inch rim) you could change to a sport tire/wheels (17 inch rims) without increasing the overall diamter. The actual rubber part of the tire just won't be as thick with a 17 inch rim. Hope that makes sense for ya!
