So I do want a smooth ride over a looks. Should I choose for bf Goodrich 275/70/r17 with e load. A 275/65;/r17 in the e load. Or the 265/70/r17 in a c load? I am thinking the c load would be the most comfortable ride and will do everything I need on and off road. Will not be doing any rock crawling please advise

I drive a 2011 TRD Sport which is the double cab long bed. For suspension I have the rxt leaf springs at option 2. I also am running Bilstein 6112 with the cir clip on the 4th notch and the 5160 in the rear. I have the jba high caster upper control arms with the factory lower control arm.

My concern is running e load tire on light truck and although I won't feel much difference possibly running e load tire makes me feel uneasy how much it might cause issues for rest of my vehicle/ drive train please advise for longevity of vehicle rather then looks

Are you on OEM SL (P-metric) tires right now? If so, C load will feel harsh, E load even more so.

You had the truck for several years and don't know what tires you have on there? What's the brand and model? TRD Sport usually came from the factory with P265/65-17 Michelin highway tires in SL. 275/65-17 would be nominally a 2% diameter increase, not noticeable for the truck.

Due to the stiffer sidewall, load range C gives a noticeably harsher ride. You'll feel all the pavement cracks, expansion joints, and manhole covers a lot more. Load range D and E even more so. (Imagine having a tire solidly filled with rubber.)

What BFGoodrich tire model are you eyeing? KO2? KM3? HT? Rugged Trail (aka Rugged Fail)?

I would advise driving for a few weeks after you get the truck back before making any changes. The truck is basically taken apart and put back together by Bob the flat-rate mechanic. All it takes is one pinched wire or bent connector pin to drive you mad with never-ending electrical gremlins. 80% of the time it'll be fine, though.

I really would be pissed if they threw any of the parts out that I gave to them to install

    1. Im thinking about the 265.70 r17 from Costco for the ko2 in a load c tire . I think for my setup that will look and serve me well. Second choice are the wild peaks A/T3W. Thanks again for responses and for welcoming me.

Heard back from Toyota. While doing the frame recall they are installing all my parts for 675. - includes; leaf springs by icon, jba high caster upper control, m arms, icon lower control arm skids, sway bar relocation by icon, toytec front differential drop kit , old man emu driveshaft carrier bearing and considering getting a new drive shaft as truck is at 110k . No idea yet on driveshaft. More information; icon rxt are set option 2 at 2.25 raise or 1.75 w 200 pounds load and running Bilstein 6112 in front again on 4th circlip which for the 05 and up tacoma is 2.15". So I am thinking that should be level w a trailer on the back. Any suggestions please advise. Again I haven't even driven this vehicle. I purchased it from a small dealer next town over from me for 17500, purchased it wo even test driving it . (Only did that bc my uncle highly suggested the guy who works on the vehicles himself and stands by the vehicles )and was lucky to have a appointment the next day at the Toyota dealership. Fingers crossed I got a call saying I was getting a new frame so here we are.

So I ended up purchasing the method 703 during Labor Day say and purchased the 275/70r17 wild peak at3w in load c tires even though I understand they are 57.1 pounds . However with that being said think it will be softer ride then bf Goodrich k02. I believe I overpaid for tires at 930 with balance though but whatever
