Gonna give OP the benefit of the doubt and assume he means he has 3" blocks in the rear only, and using 5100's for front lift. :notsure:

The UCA would not be binding on the coil over if he only had (the correct) Bilstein 5100s in front. They are manufactured to fit the taco.

Is it just me or does it look like the passenger side spring perch is upside down?

I’m not familiar with 5100’s but the two sides do look different. You might be on to something.

This is the type of mechanical destruction I think of EVERYTIME some ding dong drives by me in a lifted truck! I cringe and hope it doesn't explode and take me out.

Yes, passenger side is definitely upside down
The driver side looks much newer too, so I bet the old one used to be just like that too

Looks like it. Also their lower shock bolts are installed backwards. Not a big deal, but a pet peeve of mine.

I was burning through CV Joints. I didn't know that Toyota CV's are the holy grail of CV axles, so if you haven't already make sure you keep the OEM ones. You can also call these guys and they pick up the phone and will walk you through exactly what you need.

    https://www.cvjreman.com/

They only use OEM axles, so if you don't have the originals, they will hit you up for a core charge, but well worth it.

That and what everyone else says. You get what you pay for and you Taco is under duress big time.

Yes, bump stop spacers are a decent solution, but they reduce suspension travel. Top hat spacers maintain full travel at the risk of binding and extra stress on the cv joints. I haven’t yet decided either way.

To be clear, the top hat solution might also require bump stop spacers to avoid the shock being fully compressed.

pretty much anything over a 3/8" thick strut spacer will infact bottom the shock itself out (roughly. on the shock).

but isnt limiting uptravel not the goal you wanted to clear 35s? because if you have the same range of uptravel then it really isnt helping you clear the tires besides at a static ride height

Maybe not on this thread, but I’ve seen a few posts saying that you can use Gasket maker as a temp bandaid if the boot isn’t in absolutely terrible shape. Does anyone know what type or even if it’s possible based on my photo? I plan to replace the Acle next weekend or so but if that gasket patch solution works a a temp solution, it would really help me out. Thanks folks
