Didn't the SR5 used to be the top of the line trim back in the 70's-mid 90's prior to the Tacoma lineup?

I have the Spor;, love it and would be it fgain in a heartbeat. However, I would be in a SR5 or SR if they had a available MT in a DBL-cab config.

Let's see...I went for the Sport 4x4. Why? it looked better, rides better on the road (it's my daily driver) and I don't get into situations off roading where I need to use a diff locker or my car needs to get towed, so, the sport was the obvious choice.

    1. Looks
    2. I don't need locker differential, still the Sport has the Auto LSD system which is better than nothing and could get you out of some situations.
    3. Lots of OR defenders here are mall crawlers ha! and if you are too, the Sport probably crawls better in a mall anyway.
    4. With the Sport, your soy latte will remain inside its cup due to the Sport tuned suspension and won't have to spend $$ cleaning the seats.
    5. Whatever you decide to get, please, get a 4X4, you won't regret it.

Lets be real here. Poll says most people have OR. When you think truck 80% of people think off road. THATS why you all have offroads. If you were primarily concerned with offroading you would have gotten a beefier truck. But the cost was obviously too much. So lets stop manipulating peoples ides of which is better based on your budget friendly stigmas about what a truck should be. I am personally buying a 6 speed manual TRD sport with a performance exhaust, upgraded audio, no climate crap/ heated seats and cloth seats because they will be covered with leather fits to protect the resell value. I want a daily driver with some pep that looks like it has pep and has some utility functionality, especially when comparred to an suv. Hard enough finding all that in a 4x4 manual v6.
